On February 20th and 21st, Justin Edwards and Joe Kaiser of Mercato Partners along with senior members of the Los Angeles office of Silicon Valley Bank co-hosted early and growth stage CEOs in Malibu, CA and Santa Barbara, CA.

Justin and Joe led a discussion in a room filled to capacity with the CEOs.  These leaders represented companies in markets ranging from blockchain to healthcare information technology to consumer products.  The topic at had was sales acceleration.

Leveraging his prior experiences at Insidesales.com, Adobe and Oracle, Justin discussed sales personnel planning, hiring and retention, sales funnel stage construction, and lead generation. Joe discussed the importance that founders understand how to evaluate staging different sales initiatives within their organizations, balance sales needs and selling expenses as part of the total budget, and what investors look for within the sales motions of companies.
